I went on my annual spring pilgrimage to find a new lipstick. Picking out new makeup is not my favorite thing to do because 1) it takes time to find the right shade and B) it's expensive.
So I went into Ulta and to my surprise, the first thing I tried on was perfect. A great coral/orange that the sales woman convinced me looked great with my skin tone. I agreed and could have stopped there but nope, I was greedy and also wanted a pink gloss. The sales woman last year convinced me pink makes you look younger. I must be a sales person's dream.
When did lip gloss start costing $18 and more? Maybe I should just go with ChapStick. After all, the boy in the classic ChapStick, commercial seemed pretty damn happy when Dr. J., aka Dr. ChapStick, tossed him a tube. However, I'm not a kid from the 70s and I need a little color therapy.
I'm happy now. I can't wait to pucker up and show off my lips.
