If You Could Just Lose 10 Pounds

Happy
When I was younger, people would always say, "You have such a pretty face, if you could just lose 10 pounds."I've pretty much been the same size most of my life. I can't figure out while after losing more than 60 pounds with the help of Weight Watchers, now I sometimes feel fat. It's so weird. Body image is evidently complicated. I didn't feel fat before the weight loss.

My old clothes are too big, people tell me I look smaller and the scale tells me so too. My goal was to be healthy, not to be skinny or a certain size. The best thing is that I'm stronger. I've always exercised, but now I can run farther and do more pushups and I've finally participating in the Peachtree Road Race.

Shopping for my new frame has been interesting but hasn't been as fun as I would have thought. It's been more of a necessity to shop since the old clothes, became too baggy to wear. The most excited I got was when I purchased a pair of size six jeans. It seemed inconceivable to wear that size but then that gave way to ok Tree, move on.

Perhaps I shopped before to make my larger frame more acceptable to me and to make myself feel good. There's nothing wrong with making yourself feel good; you can be a size 14 or more and still have style.
Happy and Healthier
I had a pretty good investment in my personal style closet but now I'm putting my closet on a weight loss plan as well. And while it's hard to say goodbye to my old stylish friends, I'll make way for a few new ones.

I'm curious about how or if my style will change. I know one thing for sure; I won't be posing on the cover of People Magazine in a bikini and high heels.
